problem - A strange proliferation of leaves and shoots emerges from between leaves. If left unattended it can grow and overcome apical dominance and ruin your plant. Most likely caused by a virus being vectored in via some small chewing pest like a mite or thrip.

Solution - If your plant is rare or much loved then just trim away infected areas with sharp knife otherwise just throw away. Recovery is good.
